Past Theatre Productions
Bridget began her theatre career while still in college. She has worked in many different productions over the years. Visit Bridget's Middletown Productions web site for information on BRONWEN, THE TRAW, AND THE SHAPESHIFTER and MAY DAY SERMON which are Bridget's "one woman shows" produced by Middletown Productions, a company that Bridget and her late husband E. W. Swackhamer created. On November 30, 1998 Bridget's play Bronwen, The Traw, And the Shaper-Shifter won three awards for Best Director, Best Production, and Bridget won for best actress. Bridget has performed twice at Radford University:In the 1998 production of Noises Off, and in 1996 she was Blanche DuBois in A Street Car Named Desire. She starred in Steve Allen's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL in the Los Angeles area and here she has shared some photos of the play rehearsals with us under the Christmas Carol link. She has also starred in EliNOR ADJUSTING, and You Haven't Changed A Bit and Other Lies both at Theatre West in Los Angeles, and Play It Again, Sam in New York. Also in New York in 2001 Bridget did a Poetry Reading with good friend Marvin Silbersher at the Bibro Gallery, And a play reading in April 2003 at the Lambs . SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY ran from April to November 2002 at Theatre West, as did Ray Bradbury's The October Country, May thru June 2003. Also, in April 2003 Bridget did a staged reading of The Queen's Physician at the Lamb's Theater in New York City.
