      I received an email from Patti informing me that Bridget is heading east again.....and as usual I was thrilled!!! Anytime Bridget comes into New York, Patti is always so kind to let me know so that I can meet up with my favorite actress of all times. And once again Anne Ryan and I were heading into Manhattan to see Bridget and spend some time with her. 
This time around was a little different. Bridget was participating in a stage reading of a new play. Anne and I have never been to a stage reading before and to be experiencing one for the first and with Bridget in the cast made it extra special!! 
 
     There were no costumes...no sets....no music. The whole cast sat across the stage on high stools and each actor stood up when delivering his or her lines. But the drama was so real...they interacted with each other as if they were putting on the play for opening night!! Bridget of course was WONDERFUL!! She played the part of the doctor's wife. The doctor was played by the very talented Richard Dreyfuss. 
 
     After the performance...there was a get together with the audience and the cast. There was tea and pastries for all to enjoy. Anne and I waited for Bridget to finish meeting some other people. We had a table over by a huge fireplace that was used to heat the large room. After Bridget made her rounds....she brought a cup of tea and sat with Anne and I for a long time. We had such a great visit with Bridget....and when Richard Dreyfuss joined the get together she introduced us to Richard as her good friends from New York. That was so great of her to do that!! We love Bridget!!! 
 
     So thank you Bridget for spending time with us and making us feel like close friends. We always enjoy your company and look forward to your next visit to the Big Apple!!
