Bridget met Marvin Silbersher in the late 1960's, when he played Dimitri on an episode of HERE COME THE BRIDES, entitled "After A Dream Comes Mourning", directed by her soon-to-be husband, E. W. Swackhamer, who passed away unexpectedly in December of 1994. "Swack" and Marvin had been long-time friends since they were class-mates at The New School For Special Research in New York. With reverence for friendship, for the anguish of our Nation, and particularly for the devastation and bravery of New York, Bridget was honored to be invited to share Mr. Silbersher's words that evening of November 9, 2001. LYING AWAKE was written well before the tragic events of September 11, but it resonated even more deeply its gift of Love and Hope....and Healing.
